What is The Premiership?

Creating the Winning Team

The PremiershipThe Premiership is a unique business development experience designed to enable participants to enter the world of elite sport and transfer the lessons from this to the world of business.

The program has three elements - an initial diagnostic session, the experiential day at the Telstra Dome, and a follow-up session designed to embed the learning.

The experiential day held at the Telstra Dome features presentations from leading administrators, elite coaches and players. They will take participants into the inner sanctum of the board room, the change rooms, the coach's box and onto the ground. These core personnel tell their own stories and the lessons they have learned.

Why this format?

  1. Experiential learning of this sort is the most effective way for adults to learn. Rather than a series of motivational talks, the design of this program creates an emotional engagement that facilitates a new way of looking at the leadership and team development challenges the audience face.

  2. Creating the Winning TeamA key feature of the program is the development of
clear action strategies to apply what is learnt from the experience. Through a series of practicums facilitated by Richard Jones, an experienced organisational psychologist; participants develop their own blueprint for building a Premiership winning team. Their learning is then subject to constant reinforcement as the venue and presenters
    feature clearly in the media.

In essence the program is three distinct phrases:-

Initial Diagnostic

This session is the foundation of building a unique program for your learning.

Follow Up Activities

The strategies that these individuals employ, their achievements and expertise are therefore contextualised in the real world. This gives 'the premiership' program a unique and on-going relevance to participants. To summarise, the following features make the program distinct from other training programs in the market place:

  • The unique environment of the stadium as the location.
  • The ability of participants to immerse themselves in the experience of the presenters and the stories they have told.
  • In the series of facilitated sessions, the ability of participants to develop an understanding of the requirements of how to build their own premiership team.
  • The development of clearly identifiable strategies to enable participants to take their teams to 'the premiership' in business.
  • The subsequent review sessions to be held with participants in their own workplace after the program.
  • Perhaps the most significant aspect of the program is the continual reinforcement that this program will receive from the media (print/TV/radio). There is not a week that goes by that Demetriou, Malthouse, Hird, Cook, or the Telstra Dome are not cited or reinforced in a range of media."
